Thambo Nyathi is a lecturer at the University of Pretoria in the Department of Computer Science. He is a member of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers. His research areas include automated design of machine learning and search techniques, combinatorial optimization, genetic programming, genetic algorithms and deep learning and generally machine learning and optimization. Recent research relates to developing and applying novel methods for artificial neural networks, machine learning and artificial intelligence, specifically for Image processing.
