The organizing committee of IJCNN 2027 invites proposals for Special Sessions on new and emerging topics across all aspects of neural networks, artificial intelligence and intelligent applications. The purpose of special sessions is to stimulate a focused discussion on new or innovative topics.

Proposal Requirements

To submit your special session proposals:

  • Download Special Session Form

  • Fill the form out with

    • Title of the proposed special session;

    • Names and affiliations of the organizers, including brief bio, links to google scholar and webpages and contact information;

    • Session abstract, including the significance of the topic and the rationale for the proposed session (not to exceed one page);

    • List of committed papers, including a tentative title, author list, and a short abstract for each paper.

      • NOTE: At least 5 papers are required (with no single author co-authoring more than 2 of the papers). The Special sessions will be 2 hours.

    • A list of potential reviewers.

  • Submit the form to CMT Special Sessions Proposal submission link.

Evaluation Criteria

Special session proposals will be evaluated on several criteria including: the timeliness of the topic; relevance to the IJCNN 2027, the expected impact and quality of the contributed papers; the qualifications of the organizers. Once the proposal has been approved, it will be included among the sessions available for authors to submit their papers. All papers submitted to a special session will be reviewed through the same review process as the regular papers of the conference to ensure that contributions are of high quality. Each special session will have 2 hours of duration.
