Stefano Squartini (IEEE Senior Member) was born in Ancona, Italy, in March 1976. He earned his Laurea (with honors) and PhD in electronic engineering from the Polytechnic University of Marche (UnivPM), where he is now Full Professor in Electrical Engineering. He leads a research group of over 15 members focused on machine/deep learning and digital signal processing, particularly for audio, speech, and energy management. Author of 250+ papers, he serves on several editorial boards and IEEE committees. He has been involved in many research projects with national and international companies and research institutes and various technology transfer activities with his University.
