Emanuele Principi (Member, IEEE, INNS) is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy. His research focuses on computational intelligence and edge AI applied to smart energy systems, specifically on non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM), renewable energy integration, and predictive maintenance. He has authored over 90 publications (H-index: 23; >2,000 citations, Google Scholar). He has served on the Organizing and Technical Program Committees of several internationally renowned conferences. He is the past Chair of the IEEE CIS Task Force on Computational Audio Processing and an Associate Editor for Neural Computing and Applications and Artificial Intelligence Review (Springer).
