Dr. Caroline Konig

Caroline König is an associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC BarcelonaTech), in Barcelona, Spain. Her research interests are in machine learning and explainable AI and related applications in biomedicine, pharmacology, and clinical decision support. Currently, she is leading UPC’s work in the European PERMEPSY project, developing predictive AI tools for personalized mental health treatment. Dr. König has been involved in the International Joint Conference on Neural Networks and is a member of the International Neural Network Society. She has organized special sessions at conferences and workshops.
