Anna Bosman is an associate professor in computer science at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She received her doctorate from the University of Pretoria in 2019. Her research interests include understanding the loss landscapes of deep neural networks, biologically plausible and efficient machine learning, and computer vision applications. She is the author of nearly 40 peer-reviewed publications in the field of neural networks. She has been a member of both the IEEE and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) since 2014, and serves on the IEEE CIS Neural Networks Technical Committee (NNTC). She joined the International Neural Network Society (INNS) in 2025.
